A Late Victorian Rolled Gold Dragon Watch Fob with Purple Glass Inset
This is such a special piece dating to the late Victorian period. This watch fob boosts two griffins/dragons with hand rolled tongues, textured wings. Below them is a faceted purple glass bezel set in a decorative frame. Double sided.
1 1/8" tall x 1" wide.
The material looks rolled gold to me. It has a gold/slightly copper hue. Overall all it is in very good condition. Typical darkening in some areas but the faceted glass looks very good to the eye. Only under magnification is there typical slight facet junction wear.
Place this on a long watch chain around your neck.
