Possibly the oldest piece I have for sale.
This is a Georgian piece dating to somewhere around 1800-1840 with natural pearls. It amazes me how the tiny pearls had their holes drilled. I've heard they used horsehair but they are so tiny-crazy amazing. The chain is made up of tiny seed pearls in a twisted style. They are finished with 9-10k findings and a pearl set hidden box clasp.
The pendant is hand strung pearls on string wrapped to mother of pearl in the shape of a flower.
The 14" meant to be worn at the base of the throat. The pendant is 1" long and 3/4" wide.
Condition is excellent! So rare to find an example where all the pearls are present-even the chain of pearls is not stretched!
