Vintage Platinum Rubellite Tourmaline Diamond Ring Excellent Preowned Condition
c1990-Stamped inside shank JCR Plat. Ring has been verified as platinum.

This substantial ring features a prong set beautiful rublilite measuring approx. 11.26 x 9.10 mm, approx. 4 cts. The color is a pinkish-reddish hue. A unique color people will be asking what gemstone it is-has more depth than a pink sapphire but not dark like a garnet. You can see the light flashing inside across the facets.
The frame around the tourmaline is set with baguette and round cut diamonds. Approximately 14 -2 mm round diamonds, 6 - 2.16 x 1.50 mm baguettes. Approx. 1 ctw of diamonds (estimated). Near colorless and by eye clean under loupe a few light relief includions -vs-si.
The tourmaline sits up off the finger 9.57 mm.
The setting is well made and weighty- 11 grams
Overall the ring is in excellent preowned condition. If worn it was only a few times and cared for greatly. Even under magnification the stone has polished facets and the junctions are crisp.
