This is an outstanding tanzanite (it does come with a GLA certfication number-k26j93). The color is the perfect mix of violet-blue. Its not overly dark and its not washed out perfectly balanced so you see the gorgeous color and pleochroism . My pictures are untouched and taken by a window. The tanzanite is 3.14 cts and a cushion cut. approx. 10 × 8 mm set by four corner prongs.
The mounting is 14K white gold (stamped and tested) and features round brilliant cut diamonds in the near colorless range, SI-I clarity set by prongs in a double halo and down the shoulders. There are decorative scroll work on the shoulder galleries. The back shank was created slightly squared off to ensure the stone doesn’t spin on the finger.
