Antique Louis Kuppenheim 900 Silver Cat Compact with Gemstone Collar
Rare little beauty dating to the early 1900's. 900 silver (stamped inside) compact with a cat in relief on the front and back. By Louis Kuppenheim.
The cat is well rendered dow to the individual hairs. The eyes have synthetic ruby eye and a sweet gemstone set bow (synthetic ruby and white stones) is on the front and the back. I love how the ear and tail hangs over the body of the compact.
Inside the original mirror is present with a twisted golden rope frame. On the other side are two compartments. The compact closes tight and stays shut. Original silver chain measures 10" length. This piece can easily be converted to a locket.
Compact is 2 3/8" tall top to bottom and 1 3/16" wide and 1/2" deep.
Condition is very good.
