14K yellow gold set. I can tell this piece has been loved through the generations.
The brooch is 14k yellow gold and beautifully set with with five tiers of bohemian cut garnets and pearls. Quality workmanship, garnets are deep color but when hit with light they become a ruby red. Pearls are in very good condition. 1 3/8" wide x 1 1/8" tall. I can tell the pin has been updated during its life and is not gold but it is in good working condition. There was also added a gold filled chain and a 10k head garnet stick pin. Please note the stem is not gold. They match so well but upon magnification you can see the crimping is slightly different.
The earrings are a match with three tiers of garnets and pearls. Again at some point (my guess is 1930-1940's) the earring were converted to 14k screw backs. I can easily convert these to wire or post if you would like. Earrings hang 1 5/8".
I adore the hand engraving to each piece. The back of the brooch is engraved Susan F. Dike and the earrings have matching initials.
