Rare Austro Hungarian German Enamel Snake Bracelet
$695.00
So rare.
c1920
Marked what appears to be 825 (lower grade silver than sterling)--and something else I can't make out on the back of the head. The bracelet is highly decorative -the snake head has cream/green and red enameling, sharp teeth and a body of cream and green scales. The bracelet is flexible and will fit all wrist sizes. Unstretched it can fit a wrist as small as mine-6.25" The condition is typical for these types of pieces-there is loss to the enamel and my pictures reflect the condition. Besides some enamel loss the rest of the condition is very good.
I adore the coloring of this snake and the cream, green and red enameling makes me feel that this is a austro -hungarian piece. But being 825 silver definetly European and my second guess to origin would be Germany. Germany made really beautiful Art Deco pieces.
