Early Victorian Hand Carved Shell Cameo Lady and House Scene Gold Filled Acorn Drop Earrings

Victorian gold filled earrings with a very fine shell carving of ladies entering homes. Detailed down to the brickwork, path, trees in the background. Quality carving by a master. Each cameo measures approx. 7/8" length x 1/2" wide. The cameos are bezel set with a twisted rope frame with a larger twisted ribbon frame. At the bottom is an acorn-the Victorians used this motif to represents strength and resilience.
The metal is gold filled and the ear hooks are a darker metal. If you would like new ear hooks jeweler can add them for an additional $20. Top to bottom they are 1 3/4" x slightly over 3/4" wide.
Condition is very good for their age.
