This piece is preowned and the top and is very good. The edge of the pearl does show some wear on the sides of the mabe under magnification. Its very typical for pearls to show wear-they are not a hardy as other gemstones. I've attempted to highlight the areas in the photographs. If you look really close you might see a short line at the edge-maybe 2mm most likely a slight crack to nacre. Most people might not even notice but I do put my pieces under a micrscope. It has a lot of life left and is fine to wear and enjoy.
