c1920 Art Deco Platinum Approx. .75-.80 ct Transitional Cut Diamond with Sapphire Bullseye

$4,400.00

I'll admit that I sat on this one for two weeks not wanting to let it go. So rare to find a true Art Deco bullseye ring.

The ring is not stamped but has been tested and verified as platinum. The ring dates to around 1920's and it is a true gemeteric desinged Art Deco piece. The center has a transitional cut diamond measuring approx. 5.95 mm (.75-.80 ct), the color is near colorless around H-I, clarity is VS1 possible VVS. I am a GIA diamond graduate even under the micrscope this is a very clean diamond. The transitional cut is very well done also-good proportions. The jeweler who made this piece was a master jeweler.

From the bezel set diamond are filigree strands that connect to octaganal frame set with baguette cut sapphires bezel set. The sapphires are a medium blue hue. The shoulders have dart motifs and round cut diamond accents. Under the shoulders are filigree loops.

The front measures approx. 11.35 mm top to bottom. Back of shank is 1.62 mm wide.

3.3 grams

This ring is a bold statement yet very refine and romantic. The style is a lower profile and smoothness. No prongs to catch.

Condition overall is very good. The facets are crisp. No chips or defects. The sapphires are cut very well and tight in their bezel. The shank at somepoint has been redone-only under magnification is there two areas on each side I see a slight work area-I am being overly picky but do want to point out everything I see. Not unusual as some of these rings were original made with very thin shank backs. This shank is appropriate and well sized to the piece.

Currently a size 7 but message me if you need sizing service. I can get you an estimate.

I can also offer a 6 month layaway on this to make jewelry dreams come true.

I'll try not to cry if it sells.
