A Victorian 10K Slightly Rose Gold Honeymoon Crescent Moon Brooch

$120.00

A sweet motif dating to the late Victorian era.

Marked 10k on the c-clasp and verified as 10k gold. The hue is slightly rose. The crescent moon has incised flower and crosshatches. 1 1/16" length and 1/2" wide.

These are fun to wear in unexpected ways. I am showing it gathering a pearl strand and I've used them to hitch up a side of a pearl necklace. A grouping of antique brooches is also fun and I've also put these on the bottom of my coat cuff.

Originally these brooches were given as a wedding gift, or engagement token. The motif symbolizes a new beginning, romance and change.

Condition is very good.
