Gorgeous classic Mid Century diamond ring in 14K white gold. Stamped in shank 14k and verified.
The ring features a round brilliant cut diamond measuring approx. 5.03 mm, .50 ct, even under microscope the diamond is very clean, and I estimate the color in the near colorless range. The cut is good-center culet and full of sparkle. The end set baguettes measure approx. 3.2 x 2mm each, approx. .10 ct tw. So total diamond weight of ring around .60 ctw. I am a GIA diamond graduate.
The ring sits up off the finger 5.4 mm and the width of the diamonds and prongs across front is 14.40 mm. Condition is very good. Center diamond doesn't show any wear by loupe. One baguette under microscope shows surface nick to the table to girdle facet at the prong -its very small and diamond is secure but I do want to note any wear.
You can choose to buy the band that came along with this ring. It is also 14K white gold and has five round brilliant cut diamonds measuring approx. .30 ctw. Same color range-near colorless and I'd estimate clarity around SI. Under microscope there is wear to a facet junction. Again not seen by eye. 16.20 mm width of diamonds across front.
Overall this is classic diamond set in very good vintage condition. I get a lot of jewelry across my desk a week and most jewelry is worn out but not this set. Prongs are in great condition-this piece is ready to be worn and adored another 50 years.
