Henryk Winograd repousse high relief cameo pendant/brooch. Hallmarked at the base HW 999. The material is fine .999 silver. Henryk Winograd was know as a fine silversmith perhaps one of the greatest in repousse work. This pendant/brooch is high relief - about .75 in. off of the frame. This is a massive cameo measuring approx. 2 in. x 1.75 in. Back has more hallmarks and a safety clasp with bale.
The chain is very unique-also silver and I can only test to .925 but possibly it is higher grade. It works so well with this pendant brooch that I think it was made for it. You never see quality chains with these rare pendant brooches but it makes me wonder if this is what was original to them. It slips over your head and measures 28 " in length. The bottom has a ring you slide into the pendant.
