Doesn't this ring just make you smile?
Its a very bright sparkly yellow sapphire -sometimes in certain lightly I catch a little green hue too. During the Art Deco period fabulous bright colorful gemstones were created in what I think of as candy colors-pins, reds, greens and yellow. This one has been tested as a synthetic corundum/sapphire. The stone is approx. 8.25 mm diameter and securely set in a bezel. Love the alternating white and rose gold heart and flower motif frame. Pretty engraved shoulders. The sapphire is cut like an old European cut stone-open culet and small table.
Overall the ring looks amazing on the finger. With magnification there are a few nicks to facet junctions nothing unusual for a ring almost 100 years old. She has a life left in her!
