Gorgeous hand carved banded agate cameo of a lady in profile. The agate background is a brownish maroon color with relief of slightly creamy white. The lady is finely carved by a master most likely a European piece. She has a flower in her hair, lacey collar and wears earrings. The cameo is securely bezel set. The pendant/brooch is in an Etruscan Revival style. Wirework with ball motifs. There are four natural pearls. The back features a swivel bale with more wirework and a c-clasp. The back of the agate is a darker brownish red hue. Amazing the artist could carve this piece out of a three color banded agate to such perfection.
Unmarked but tested throughout as 14K.
